Do you know how to walk in high heels? ![]() I actually intended to buy this book "How to Walk in High heels" by Camilla Morton, not because I am a bookworm but because this book tackles a lot in a girl/woman's life. If you have always wondered the best way of getting out of a car in a mini skirt, how to get dressed in 5 minutes or how to walk on cobbled surfaces and climb steps in high heels, then this is the book for you. This “girl’s guide to everything” is not only genuinely useful, but is a hilarious read too. Full of tips related to shoes, bags, hats, sunglasses, underwear and women’s fashion it also covers far reaching topics such as how to be socially adept, tackling technophobia, and joining the jet set; all presented in a lighthearted and breezy style. However, I was in a hurry to a doctor's appointment, I didn't notice that what I had in my hand was Morton's second book, "A Year in High Heels". Anyhow, it's still basically the same concept as her first book. It's a more girly, glamorous book full of ideas and tips to inspire you through the year. A feast of new experiences are suggested as well with celeb experts to guide you along the way, fun, inspiration and advice are all heading your way to guide you through the year. I must say it's a fantastic read. These Camilla Morton books are a highly recommended read for any fashion-forward and well-heeled fashionista. Gladiator Sandals Spring/Summer 2008 Trend: Yay or Nay? Ever since the movie “Gladiator” came out, women have been donning strap-happy gladiator style sandals as if they were ready to go into a last-woman standing chariot battle complete with tigers, maces, bows, arrows and Gucci handbags. The gladiator sandal epidemic has become widespread, but when is a sandal too strappy? By that, I am referring to those sandals that creep up the leg and end at the knee. Is this an endangered trend? Or is it one that we can expect to see a couple more seasons? Labels: fashion, Gladiator, Mia Rome, shoes

Galliano makes it HAUTE with Dior! I don’t even need to talk about the beauty of these pictures - they are just SO magical…but I’ll say a couple of words anyway. John Galliano certainly has outdone himself with these gorgeously classic gowns for Dior’s Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2008/2009. All these dresses are like something that Scarlett O’ Hara would wear - except the dresses are on steroids. Models wear creations by British fashion designer John Galliano for Dior’s Haute Couture fall-winter 2008/2009 fashion collection, presented in Paris, Monday June 30, 2008. Bagging it with style! A model wears a creation made of plastic bags and entitled: Mother Teresa, by French fashion designer Frank Sorbier, as part of his Fall-Winter 2008/2009 collection presented at the Cirque d’Hiver in Paris, Wednesday, July 2, 2008. (AP Photo/Remy de la Mauviniere)This has to be one of the most philanthropically “green” dresses ever made. For one, it’s called the “Mother Teresa” and secondly, it’s made out of plastic bags. Mother Teresa would be so proud. I wonder if they used any plastic bags from Cotton On because those are my favorite. They are so durable and chic!
