13. I’m currently going through a phase where I refuse to take the contraceptive pill. I hope someday there will be something for men too so we can share responsibility.

Finally done with the tags. Couldn't understand some of the questions very well. Maybe it's just me. It is 9.42 in the morning though. Far too early on a mid-term holiday i must say.
So exhausted from hooking up the new tv and surround sound system last night. For people like my boyfriend and i who are completely clueless when it comes to electronics, 3 whole hours of trying to figure out which cable goes into where can be pretty brain damaging.
Do you know what happens when you buy a tv and surround sound system on impulse? You call Myers and tell them to cancel the order because you realize you want a bigger tv and a "bigger" surround sound system.
We ended up a 32" instead of a 26". And a blu-ray 7.1 channel home theater system instead of a basic 5.1 channel with wireless rear speakers. Now that Foxtel and dvds work, i must say that the picture and audio quality is superb. Definitely money well spent. The bedroom has now become a mini cinema haha i'll be buying a couple of blu-ray dvds to test the 7.1 surround sound. I already know which will be the first blu-ray movie i'll get to start off my collection of blu-ray movies lol and I'm sure Sonia knows too.
Photo updates tomorrow after the surround-back and centre speakers have been wall-mounted and the room tidied up a bit because the bedroom looks like it's been hit by a tornado at the moment.
Now off to enjoying my mini cinema! I don't want to leave my room anymore. Ever. LOL

the boyfriend found an injured bird at the park across our street when he went out for a run. there were magpies surrounding it and attacking it.
from the photo you can see that the bird's head is bloody.
i've tried calling 5 or 6 different wildlife associations but no one has answered the phone because it's a Sunday. for now i've kept the bird in a box on an old pillow in my garage in the dark.
will try to call the numbers i got from the yellowpages again later and hopefully someone answers the phone and picks up the bird from my house. either that or the bird pulls through the night and i'll send it to the vet first thing in the morning.
poor birdy.
those horrible magpies are nasty.

what a busy two days it has been. didn't get up to much but somehow i fall asleep straight away at night, pretty early too. it's as if i'm running marathons during the day.
just when i've been praying real hard for good sunny weather, it was 29 degrees out yesterday. gave charlotte and christine a call and off to Glenelg we went with the puppies. all 4 puppies in my car. jumping up and down excited to see each other. it's their first time at the beach so they all had a blast. i'm sure molly did anyway. she absolutely loved the sea. splashing around just where the tide breaks. then rolling around in the sand afterwards. getting herself all sandy. milo wasn't too keen on the water. he preferred digging holes in the sand with molly instead.

been so busy today. went to aunt's house in the morning so molly and milo can have puppy play time with bubbles and billy-boy. Foxtel was supposed to come around to my house in the afternoon between 12pm and 5pm and install another set top box in the bedroom so we can watch Foxtel in the bedroom instead of just the living room. but the guy called and asked if he could slot me in the morning instead. so i had to drive all the way from my aunt's house in glen osmond to my house in greenacres so the Foxtel people can do their thing. it was a pretty quick job though. probably half hour. so i went back to my aunt's house again after that to have lunch (bak kut teh!). not long after i got to my aunt's place, the Foxtel guy called and said he left his toolbox in my bedroom! i was so pissed off. i quickly had my lunch, sent my cousin to city east then flew back home just to let the guy in.
i would go back to my aunt's house again just to hang out but my new tv and surround sound system is getting delivered in a couple of hours from myers. the bf and i went tv shopping last night coz we felt like we needed an upgrade from what we have now which is a pretty decent LG 17" lcd tv and a sony surround sound but 2 speakers dont work anymore. so because we were going to spend more time watching Foxtel in the room now, we ended up buying a samsung 26" lcd and a panasonic surround sound system with wireless rear speakers. good deal too. AUS$1648 for the whole lot.

i think i'll become a hermit and stay in my room all day enjoying movies on Foxtel box office while playing the sims 2 on my laptop in bed. i cant wait!!!

i'm DYING to go to the beach. literally DYING.
i've been checking the weather forecast for tomorrow a million times today.
Wednesday: Fine, mostly sunny, 20 deg.
Thursday: Fine, sunny, 25 deg.
Friday: Fine, sunny, 29 deg.
i really, really want to go tomorrow with charlotte, christine and the puppies. but i doubt it will be warm enough. charlotte says that thursday and friday will be sunny but very windy. and i don't exactly want sand getting into the puppies' eyes. might just go tomorrow anyway.
i can't wait for summer. i've had enough of the cold. now that it's getting warmer, i enjoy taking the puppies for a stroll at the park around the corner of my house.
and also, i'm in dire need of a tan. if the weather doesn't get warm enough soon to tan at the beach for an entire afternoon i might just opt for a spray tan for the time being. plus, winnie's moved to perth so i don't think i'll have anyone to go to the beach for a tan with. doesn't seem like there's anyone who shares my passion for a tan (anyone that can prove me otherwise, leave me an email...we'll be instant buddies =D) LOL
please, please let it be warm and sunny tomorrow.....

this is definitely a long overdue post...but as promised...
went back to Malaysia earlier this month for a total of 6 days plus 1 day of travelling. quite a spur-of-the-moment thing. grandma passed away on a friday. tickets booked on a saturday. flight was on a tuesday.
my flight from adelaide was 3pm local time. arrived in KL at around 9pm local time. i remember being on the phone with Sonia while I was waiting for my next flight in to kuching. telling her that i won't be dropping past miri. and her texting me saying Aunty Amy told her that I will be in miri for the weekend. and all the denying because i wanted to give her a surprise LOL
arrived in kuching at midnight. parents picked me up. was very emotional when i saw them but i held back those tears. the whole flight back was pretty rough for me. for the past 3 years i've been flying back to malaysia for holidays. but this time was for my grandma's funeral. was practically bawling on the plane as i was writing a short letter for my grandma to take with her. the girl sitting beside me must've thought i'd gone bonkers.
went to the kampung as soon as parents picked me up from the airport. grandma's body was sent back to the house earlier in the afternoon. it was approximately a 45 minute drive. time could not have gone by any slower. quite a number of relatives i had not seen before were there for the night-watch. i will never ever forget the second i walked into the living area and saw my grandma lying in the coffin as though she was only asleep. the last time i saw her was earlier this year at the airport for about an hour. i just wish i had spent more time with her. there are still times when i'd be driving and i'm in my own little world, i would have that vision of me walking into that living room looking inside the coffin and seeing my grandma's peaceful face. it never fails to bring me to tears.
there are days when i know she's in a better place and i feel happy for her. but there are also days when i can't help but just break down and cry to myself in the car. since she left i've been harbouring a lot of hatred for a certain someone, who i blame for her death. which explains me going to church every sunday now to repent LOL i guess it's a good thing in a way considering i usually try to avoid going to church at all costs.
rest in peace grandma. we will meet again some day.
now on to happier thoughts.
had my hair done in kuching. initially they had the colour all wrong. i asked for a cadbury chocolate colour. my hair come out a horrible copper-blonde. luckily they had the decency to redo it for me free of charge.
friday evening i flew back to miri with mom. i had friday night all planned. shan picked me up from my house. we drove down to parkson where sonia would be waiting with a few other people. sonia had her back facing coffee bean's entrance which was awesome. i guess she saw nariza and adam looking at me so she turned back to see who it was. long story short, she ended up in tears. obviously she really did not expect me to be going back to miri. the surprise was definitely a success.
spent as much time as possible with my two babes in miri. also caught up with a few other people whom i've not seen in years.
from having cheesecake at coffee bean,
sushi at KB,
getting sonia lobster red from alcohol at the island,
blinging our phones,
to last minute dress shopping with shan coz i had no clothes left to wear. i enjoyed all those moments. 3 days in kuching. 3 days in miri. jam-packed with lots of tears and even more fun.
i can't wait for january!

To all google fans and loyalists!Good news because Google has launched their new browser called “Google Chrome” Browser. Internet explorer, Mozilla and Safari has a new rival! Google has become rather powerful in the world of internet and I’m sure Google will stand in front for a long time. And for us, another browser to choose from…I’m getting kinda tired of using Mozilla and Internet Explorer. I should try Google Chrome soon.
Well, Google really is smart. They've already dominated the search engines and now they are going to compete with Microsoft! So, if you want to download their new browser, better do it as soon as possible and compare it with the other browsers!

Arrived at 6am, went through immigration, customs etc and got out at 6.50am.
Feel so home sick even though I was only back for a week.
I think I'm just going to sleep all day. Catch up on some sleep. It's been a hectic week. And a very tough first day in Kuching with the funeral and all that.
Will definitely update with photos of the trip.

I'm so excited!
In less than 24 hours I'll be on a plane going home for 6 days! =D
Now for last-minute packing......
